FAQ
Common questions.
Is InkAds trying to replace video digital signage?
No. InkAds is not intended to compete with animated LCD or video signage. The concept focuses on static advertising designed for low power use, intended to stay visible for long periods and update remotely.
Do displays need mains power or a network cable?
The concept targets units that need neither mains power nor a network cable at each screen — content changes remotely instead — which is what makes InkAds suited to locations where running permanent cabling is inconvenient or expensive.
How does content get updated?
Campaigns and venue messaging change remotely on a schedule, without printing or physically replacing a poster.
Where is InkAds being tested first?
Bathrooms are the initial proof-of-concept context — a private, high-dwell shared space — not the limit of the idea. Pubs, shopping centres, cafés, gyms, and other high-traffic indoor locations are all in scope.
Can I track whether my creative was actually displayed?
Proof-of-display and device telemetry are on the roadmap, alongside QR-code calls to action planned as part of the creative format.
What does it cost?
InkAds is still in proof-of-concept, so pricing is scoped per pilot with venues and advertisers. See Pricing for details.
